Football is this kind of sport that I love to watch and play. Football bring's in me great positive emotions and a lot of happiness. Playing let me forget about every day problems or worries, every thing becomes less important and the only things that are left are ball and two goals. That's why I want to do a presentation about football.
At the begining the first part was suppose to be about the history of football but who would like to read about it. That's why I decided that this part will be about the funny moments in football. It's obvious that instead of reading a whole page about that 2000 years ago in chinese, japanese, greece and roman's culture there were games involving scoring a goal either by kicking or throwing a ball and that later on came associations like PZPN it's better to laugh a little while watching some youtube's movies.
But coming back to subject of Polish football we really have a funny football. Why? Polish football representation in eleminations to World Cup in RPA is on 5th position in group being better only then amature representation of San Marino which played 10 games has 0 points, 1 goal scored and 47 goals lost. There isn't even one Polish club that plays in Chempions League or European League which is another failure of our football. Our Orange Ekstraklasa is one of the weakest leagues in Europe. But we shouldn't be suprise becouse the only thing we hear all the time is corruptions and sold games but the only thing left is to cry or laugh.
Why do you think that polish football team has so many problems while in other sports polish team's have better achievements like men's and women's volleyball team's and men's handball team??
I guess laughing on polish football is our only option to do :-)
ReplyDeleteIt just freting me how come board of PZPN kept its positions after such a disgraceful performance (e.g. WC 2010 qualifiers). This is pathology - in every NORMAL enterprise, managers are assessed by meeting clearly stated objectives. If performing of whole association leads to such a tragic results it should be a matter of honour for them to resign.
Also players tend to be lazy after getting some serious cash in major polish clubs. Once they get it they don't have a need to selfimprove and push their careers towards much stronger european leagues. That's a shame.

ReplyDeleteI don't like football. This is a terribly boring sport. I do not understand the source of its popularity and why this huge amount of money is invested in a couple of guys running around on the grass. These funny videos just make me firmly believe that it is embarrassing.
ReplyDeleteHonestly I don't like football too. I become angry when I feel constrained to watch some match and believe me that it is frequent situation:) Now I see that even football can be not so boring as I thought;)
ReplyDeleteI don't like football, but from time to time I can watch 90 minutes match compressed to 1 minute in sport news - this is only acceptable form of football match for me :)
ReplyDelete"Why do you think that polish football team has so many problems?" Hm, I think this is people fault - low level players, weak football clubs and pathologies such as corruption, bad management, outrageous fans behavior. So I'm not suprised that people are not interested in football.
Im not really a fan of football but when I have nothing better to do I might end watching a match on TV. To be honest though, I dont find anything exciting about it.
ReplyDeleteI would never say that football is stupid because I know different people like different things but I just dont find anything appealing in this sport.
If anything I would have to say that all those funny photos and accidents are more or less only thing that grab my attention to this sport. Not too much is it?
Well, anyway...when it comes to overall state of polish football I have to agree. Its not the best, gently speaking. When we take a closer look though we shouldnt really be surprised.
I watched some sort of report on the news recently about state of polish football. One of reasons its said to be so bad was for example training of young players.
Apparently in Poland we barely have any proper training facilities, and I dont mean building wise but experience wise.
It seems that there is no teaching standard football trainers in Poland follow which results in young players having a pretty hard time if they want to get anywhere.
Naturally there will always be people with amazing talent in that sport, I had one friend like that. Problem is that even if there are such people, due to "evolution" of football in our country they still may have a tough time getting into a proper club.
Plus, lets face it. One amazing player wont be able to carry whole club and thats how it looks in Poland. One or two good players with all the rest medicore at best.
Im not some kind of sport expert so in some cases (maybe all of them?) I may be wrong but at least I presented you my thoughts on the whole matter.
There was a time when I was football fan, but when corruption scandal was revealed I immediately loose enthusiasm. Action of PZPN and our national team don't encourage me to become a fan again.
ReplyDeleteOne funny situation that has imprinted very hard in my memory was a defensive action of Kuszczak in match with Columbia, when opponent goalkeeper shot him a goal from the end of pitch. When I was watching it wasn't funny at all.
I've seen many 'funny football' pics and vids but you've posted here some new for me:) Thanks to funny accidents, when you watch a boring match a smile appear on your face. If it's about our team I think it shoud be rebuild. But with PZPN even rebuilding won't do anything.
